Affordable Housing Alliance
We all wish that we could snap our fingers and create affordable housing for everyone. The reality is that creating affordable housing takes significant time, money, and expertise. Sometimes one city or one agency is missing a critical ingredient it needs to make the dream of affordable housing a reality.
Urban Initiative's Affordable Housing Alliance has helped the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino; and the cities of Costa Mesa, El Monte, Glendale, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Pasadena, Pomona, Redondo Beach, Riverside, and San Bernardino create affordable housing opportunities for low and middle income individuals and families.
These affordable housing opportunities have included
- Homeless prevention
- Emergency shelter
- Transitional housing
- Permanent supportive housing
- Permanent affordable housing
"Affordable Housing Alliance provides a unique opportunity for congregations to learn about how their land can be used to support their congregation’s needs and support their community’s need for affordable housing units."
— Richard R. Andrews | Red Mortgage Capital, LLC
The Affordable Housing Alliance has helped with:
- Preservation
- Acquisition
- Rehabilitation
- New Construction
These affordable housing opportunities are currently operated by other private agencies in partnership with the local jurisdictions in which they are located.
